Melbourne Marathon

The Nike Melbourne Marathon is Australia’s premier marathon festival, and over 40,000 event participants are expected this year.

Participants are encouraged to run, jog, wheel, or walk past some of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks before finishing with a lap of honour around the MCG’s hallowed turf.

How to set up a fundraising page in Melbourne Marathon

Creating a fundraising page in the Melbourne Marathon is easy, even if your organisation hasn’t invested in a Charity Package. While there are a few different ways to set up a page, we’ve provided best practice instructions for all beneficiary charities below.

Step 1: As a connected charity, direct your supporters to your Melbourne Marathon Campaign Page so they can sign up via your unique Register Now button that will preselect your charity during the event’s official registration process.

Step 2: When your supporter completes the registration process, we will create their fundraising page and send them an email with a link to claim it.

Step 3: Once claimed, your supporter can customise their page before sharing it with their network and asking for support.

Fundraiser Communications

Grassrootz sends a best-practice communications journey to all Melbourne Marathon fundraisers to help activate them post sign-up and promote key incentives. These communications are event-branded by default, but you can opt to create your own charity-branded journey for an additional cost.
